Central Scotland SNP MSP Christina McKelvie says EasyJet have serious questions to answer after banning 50 Scotland fans from travelling on a flight between Amsterdam and Prague for tonight’s Euro qualifier.
Ms McKelvie has been contacted by a number of the fans who have been affected as they are constituents within the Central Scotland region. They say they were wrongly accused of being drunk, angry when Easyjet refused to explain to them or the British embassy why they were being prevented from travelling and are concerned that the decision by EasyJet was purely based on them wearing kilts and Scotland football tops.
Commenting Ms McKelvie said:
“EasyJet have questions to answer over their own behaviour and failing to meet their own contractual duties with paying customers.
“My constituents assure me that they were not drunk and were shocked by this arbitrary decision. They also say they have film of the situation.
“EasyJet have to carefully consider how they respond further on this issue.”
